goodmorningpapua.com – A Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate ensures that the telecommunications network for the National Sports Week (PON) XX of Papua is 100 percent ready.
“From the report I received, the telecommunications infrastructure is accomplished with high backups, so it can be ensured that data, voice and image transmission can be practiced well”, said Johnny, Thursday, September 23, 2021.
According to Johnny, the utilization of the entire network and available installed capacity from the Kominfo side will provide support for the implementation of PON XX and Peparnas XVI in Papua.
“The Ministry of Communication and Informatics is also preparing for PON public communication to run well. The success of PON XX is not only a success in organizing PON but also a successful PON achievement,” said Johnny.
Johnny also ensured that government services and community activities would not be disrupted during PON XX. This is because the backup network infrastructure has been prepared, including the use of international optical cable networks.
The backup network via the Jayapura-Madang-Port Moresby-Guam-Manado route to other parts of Indonesia. Then the Jayapura-Madang-Port Moresby-Sidney-Batam line to cover the needs of PON transmission as well as government administration and community activities.
He added that this PON achievement was also marked by the fulfillment of the requirements of the Olympic motto, namely hediatris Citius, Altius, Fortius, which is Latin for “Faster, Higher, Stronger”.
“The joy of the Indonesian people through the participation and participation of citizens through the existence of a media center that transmits PON news,” Johnny added.
Previously, the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia Johnny G Plate made a working visit to Jayapura to ensure the smooth implementation of the XX PON on 2-15 October 2021.
The Minister of Communication and Information also witnessed the signing of the cooperation agreement for PON XX Papua 2021 between Telkom Senior Vice President Corporate Communication & Investor Relations Ahmad Reza and the Daily Chair of PB PON XX Papua Yunus Wonda.
