goodmorningpapua.com – A chairman of the Conference Committee Willem Wandik explained that there will be more than 3000 pigs to prepare for burning stones at the opening of the conference. In addition, there is a local traditional dance, as a sign of joy and excitement at the KINGMI (Injil Tent Church) conference which will be held November 1-6, 2021.
Willem, who is also the Regent of Puncak, explained that currently the participants, delegates from churches, classes, throughout the Land of Papua have arrived in Mimika Regency, including the Chair of the KINGMI Synod, Pdt. Benny Giyai, as well as delegates from church denominations and other invitees.
Willem said the participants had arrived since last week. The accommodation readiness, picking-up, including the conference location got ready.
Meanwhile, for the number of 3,000 pigs that will be eaten together in the stone-burning procession, it is a voluntary donation from KINGMI congregation members.
Regent Willem, who is a KINGMI cadre, explained that a Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, is planning to open a KINGMI Conference in Papua. The KINGMI conference will be held at KM-32 Timika on November 1, 2021.
“I have communicated with the governor and he is ready to attend the opening of the conference. The preparation for the conference has reached 99 percent,” he said.
The conference was also attended by DPRD members throughout Papua, representatives of the Ministry of Religion, church representatives from abroad and also leaders of other church denominations such as from GKI in Papua, GIDI, Baptist Church, Pentecostal, Bethel and other churches.
The participants are proud that God is also working in the KINGMI church in Papua. Through the church, missionaries from all over the world can attend in Papua, so there is hope for KINGMI people in Papua, including in the fields of education, health, economy, government, even PT Freeport Indonesia which is planned to be present at the opening of the KINGMI conference.
