The presence of the acting governor was welcomed by the Regent of Fakfak Regency, Untung Tamsil together with forkopimda. During the visit, Deputy Regent, Yohana Dina Hindom gave a necklace with a distinctive nuance of Nutmeg. The Acting Governor of West Papua was also paraded with local community traditional dances.
“Greetings bakudapa. This is also the host, so going home,” said the acting governor with his trademark smile when he met the regent.
The purpose of the visit of the acting governor to Fakfak was to take part in the 122nd Anniversary of Fakfak Regency. It is planned that the activities will start tomorrow on Wednesday morning starting with the ‘Dipper for Welcome’ agenda
The Fakfak 122nd Anniversary Ceremony will be held at Rumah Negara, followed by a Special Session, Visit to Tubir Seram Island, Cultural Parade, Exhibition Opening, and Drag Bike activities.
