A Commercial Director of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia RNI (Persero) Frans Tambunan said that as planned, the delivery of cooking oil distribution to Papua was also scheduled as an effort to meet food availability in Eastern Indonesia.
“The cooking oil is sent via Hercules plane transportation and distributed through Rajawali Nusindo, a member of ID Food Sorong Branch to local traders in Papua,” Frans said in Jakarta, Tuesday (22/2/2022).
Frans continued, the distribution of cooking oil in the form of premium packaging is in collaboration with the Traders’ Association and Apical Group, and will be disseminated to local traders in Papua to distribute it according to the government’s determined price for Premium packaging of Rp. 14 thousand per liter.
A Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi said cooking oil was also the focus of government discussions on food availability and stabilization of food supply and prices. “We continue to coordinate with the Food SOEs, the Ministry of Trade as stakeholders of the National Food Agency (NFA) in distributing cooking oil to the public,” said Arief.
Arief said the National Food Agency would collaborate with BUMN ID Food and PTPN in distributing advanced cooking oil through the availability of olein with a target of million million liters of bulk per month.
Arief, who previously served as the main director of RNI, continued to push for cooking oil to reach the public quickly. Arief said, more than 600 thousand liters were distributed to the public through Rajawali Nusindo and the Indonesian Trading Company (PPI).

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said to maintain the ecosystem and food supply chain properly. Regarding the issue of cooking oil, Erick also said that SOEs participated in helping the availability of cooking oil, with all capabilities in SOEs they would mobilize to be able to help and be a solution.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi asked all distributors to immediately distribute cooking oil quickly and massively throughout Indonesia.
