goodmorningpapua.com – The DPR has received a letter from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The document received namely the Presidential Letter (Surpres) related to the Draft Law (RUU) for the Establishment of the Province of Southwest Papua.
“(Surpres) the New Autonomous Region of South West Papua is ready,” said Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
There is one more Surpres that is awaited for the DPR to immediately follow up. It is the Surpres of fit and proper test to succeed the former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Lili Pintauli.
However, Lili’s replacement for Surpres has not been received by the DPR. In fact, President Jokowi previously admitted that he was preparing a Surpres to replace Lili.
“No, not yet (DPR has not received the Surpres to replace Lili),” he said.
Previously, Lili decided to resign as a Deputy Chairperson of the KPK. Jokowi accepted Lili’s resignation.
The Head of State admitted to immediately following up on the resignation. Lili’s replacement will be submitted to the DPR to undergo a fit and proper test at Commission III.
