Unique, a High School in Papua Mountains Conducts an Exam with Google Forms

goodmorningpapua.com – SMA Negeri 1 Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, located in the mountainous area of Papua, conducts online exams using the Google Forms service with a student pass rate of 98 percent. A head of SMA Negeri 1 Wamena, Yosep Wibisono, said the use of Google Forms was an extraordinary test that had been carried out in the mountainous areas of Papua.

“The graduation rate at State High Schools itself is 98 percent of the 242 students taking the exam this year. In the midst of this pandemic, the implementation of the exam is out of the ordinary, we use google forms and it is done in an integrated manner for children,” he said in Wamena, Friday (6/5/2022).

In the limited internet services and school facilities, the support from teachers and parents in providing online-based services to children does not stop. “These children use an independent network, meaning their own internet network. They don’t use wifi facilities at school because our wifi facilities are very minimal and not work well,” he said.

During the online exam, the school provides room facilities and equipment for participants to use. “We have prepared a place for children who do not have facilities, either data credit, cell phones, or laptops or computers,” he said.

The announcement of graduation at the high school was carried out simultaneously on May 5, 2022 at 15.00 WIT.
