goodmorningpapua.com – The G20 event which to be held in Nusa Dua Bali in June is not only an opportunity for potential cooperation with various countries for Indonesia. The international event is also a chance to promote various superior products of the archipelago, including coffee.
The MSME Cooperative Service, Papuan Labors, has prepared Paniai coffee as a superior product that will be exhibited at the G20 presidency. “The Papuan government has the task of marketing Papuan products, namely Papuan coffee and several other superior products,” said the Head of the Papuan Cooperatives, MSMEs and Manpower Office, Omah Laduani Ladamay, Monday, May 16, 2022.
According to Laduani, Papuan coffee has a unique taste and aroma. The coffee is located at an altitude that is not shared by other regions where the average cultivation process is 1,300-2,000 meters above sea level (asl) so that it has its own characteristics.
Coffee farmers in Paniai use seeds from the Blue Mountains of Jamaica to produce a mild taste with a subtle acidity, floral aroma and almost no bitterness in every sip of coffee.
Marketing will start in June at locations that have been prepared by the government in Nusa Dua for the promotion of superior products until the peak day of the G20 Presidency activities in November. “We estimate that we will prepare a container of Paniai coffee by bringing several communities that have good quality and quantity,” said Laduani.
