goodmorningpapua.com – A Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno conducted a road show to a number of tourist destinations and creative economy centers throughout the archipelago, ahead of the opening of a new era of tourism.
This time, he and the ranks of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy come together in Sorong, West Papua, Papua on Monday (25/10/2021).
Sandiaga Uno’s arrival at Domine Eduard Osok Airport was also warmly welcomed by the Sorong Municipal Government and local residents.
Among the welcoming group was Ahok. Wearing a red batik and orange hat, Ahok immediately came and experienced Sandiaga Uno. Ahok’s arrival immediately surprised him.
However, unlike Ahok whose full name is Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, who was his opponent in the DKI Jakarta governor election, Ahok whom Sandiaga Uno met was a native Papuan.
He got the same nickname because he had met and shook hands with Ahok before.
“Did Pak Ahok come here this morning?” asked Sandiaga Uno. “Yes, but this is the black one,” Ahok said, triggering laughter from all those present.
“This is Mr. Ahok West Papua. Mr. Ahok West Papua met Mr. Ahok who is white,” said Sandiaga Uno.
The boisterous condition broke out again when Ahok from West Papua prayed for Sandiaga Uno to become president.
To Sandiaga Uno, Ahok admitted that he would help him in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. Ahok also expressed his request to be able to get an operational vehicle so that he can work more optimally at the West Papua Tourism and Creative Economy Office.
“I pray that you will become president, I will help you get elected,” said Ahok to the applause of the people.
“I’m on duty here, as long as I’m on tourism duty here I don’t have a vehicle,” he said again. “OK, let’s try and see. Please facilitate,” said Sandiaga Uno to his staff.
