goodmorningpapua.com – Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw releases participants in the cultural parade ahead of the opening of the VI Congress of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (KMAN), Monday 24 October 2022.
The participants were released from They Hiyo Eluay’s Graveyard to the Barnabas Youwe Stadium, Sentani. The release was delayed because it was hindered by rain that has been flushing the Jayapura area since morning.
Regent Mathius Awoitauw in his speech invited all components of indigenous peoples to maintain the quality of indigenous peoples for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
“With the diversity and wealth we have, we build a commitment to the quality of indigenous peoples to protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Mathius who is also the General Chair of KMAN VI.
