goodmorningpapua.com – A Vice President Ma’ruf Amin requested that the Master Plan for the Acceleration of Development in Papua, namely Law Number 2 of 2021 concerning Special Autonomy for the Papua Province, be completed immediately. This was conveyed by the Vice President during an internal meeting on the acceleration of Papua’s welfare development on Thursday (10/3).
“That meeting was the main issue of how to speed up the completion of the Master Plan for the Acceleration of Papuan Development and the Presidential Decree as a derivative of the law. So, the Vice President requested that it be resolved quickly,” said a Spokesperson for the Vice President, Masduki Baidlowi when contacted, Thursday (10/3).
The Vice President, as stated by Masduki, assessed that the preparation of the RIPPP was important for Papua’s future development programs. The target for completion of this RIPPP is within two months. He added that RIPPP was also related to the construction of the Steering Committee for the Acceleration of Special Autonomy Development for Papua (BP3OKP). The existence of BP3OKP particularly integrates Papuan development programs whose implementation is spread across ministries/agencies.
“He is the one who will coordinate the entire development of Papua in the K/L, so far the K/L own roads enter the province, district, city. Later it won’t be like that again, later everything must have the BP3OKP,” he said.
In addition, the Vice President also emphasized that the program to accelerate Papua’s development was not hampered by the territorial approach to security in Papua. Therefore, the security approach implemented in Papua can be in parallel with development in Papua.
“If the current TNI Commander takes a territorial approach, it is already running, please go, in parallel, but Papua’s development will still be carried out,” he said.
