The Keerom VII Cultural Festival is one of the annual events displaying regional specialties with cultural and aesthetic values which are an attraction for visitors from various regions as well as domestic tourists and the local Keerom community.
The Keerom Cultural Festival with the theme “Raising the Dignity and Dignity of the Culture of the Indonesian-Papua New Guinea Border Communities” performes Papuan dances, traditional musical instruments and various snacks and Keerom handicrafts.

The Keerom Police Chief, AKBP Christian Aer expressed his appreciation to the Keerom District Government for holding an annual festival that shows the original cultural characteristics of the Keerom people.

Just to note, the opening of the Keerom VII Cultural Festival was attended by Deputy Chief of Regional Police for Papua Brigadier General Ramdani Hidayat, Minister of Social Affairs Expert for Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs Benhur Tomi Mano, a Director of Marketing for Tourism Archipelago Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism Dwi Maheryono.
The festival was also attended by the Director of the Development Center for the Ministry of Education, Dewi Usmani, the Head of Intelligence for Korem 172/PWY, Colonel Kav Kristiyanto, and the Head of the Jayapura State Prosecutor’s Office, Lukas Alexander Sinuraya.
