goodmorningpapua.com – Catholic Women of the Republic of Indonesia (WKRI) in Mappi Regency celebrate their 98th Anniversary.
The activity was attended by the Parish Priest of St. James the Apostle, the Chair of the Parish Council, the Chair of the WKRI DPC and the administrators.
An Acting (Pj) Regent of Mappi, Michael Gomar, said WKRI was able to prove the work of service since it was formed June 26, 1924.
“WKRI Tahun was able to adapt in organizing along with the times,” said the acting regent, Sunday, June 26, 2022.
The Acting Regent is proud that WKRI has helped build and maintain diversity by providing services in the fields of education, health and improving community welfare.
He appreciates that the existence of the Catholic women’s organization can improve the love service program well and be able to synergize with several other women’s organizations, such as
PKK, Dharma Wanita, Bhayangkari, Persit, GOW and many others.
“The point is that it can provide benefits and services, and is right on target and has a good impact on the community,” he explained.
Closing the activity, he reminded WKRI to be able to support the advancement of Mappi Regency from an organizational perspective in the religious field.
