Thanks to BSPS, 1,520 houses in West Papua are now healthy and livable

goodmorningpapua.com – Throughout 2021 the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance program (BSPS) has carried out house renovations on 1,520 uninhabitable housing units in West Papua.

Quoted from the PUPR Ministry’s Facebook account, Tuesday (4/1/2022), this program is a form of government attention to people who need worthy housing. In addition, because it is held with a labor-intensive scheme, this program also reduces the unemployment rate.

In West Papua BSPS recipients in urban areas received assistance of Rp. 23 million, while recipients in mountainous areas received assistance of Rp. 40 million. This assistance is used to buy materials of construction and wages for craftsmen.

Thanks to the BSPS program, the recipients are now able to enjoy a healthy, comfortable and livable home.
