goodmorningpapua.com – The Keerom Resort Police distributes fast food to residents and children in the fostered villages in the Waris District, Keerom Regency, Papua, Monday 3 January 2022.
In addition to distributing fast food, in a social action to spread kindness in early 2022, the Keerom Police also distributed free masks to the public to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
Kanit Binmas Waris Polsek, Bripka Achmad in a written statement conveyed that the distribution of fast food to the public was a form of the Police’s concern for others during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is a form of our concern for the community, we also give an appeal so that people comply with health protocols during the pandemic by using masks, washing hands, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds to avoid Covid-19,” he said.
Achmad asked the public not to be influenced by hoax news circulating in social media regarding vaccinations. Because, he continued, vaccination is safe for humans with the aim of preventing Covid-19.
“We urge the public not to be easily provoked by rumors that are untrue and are developing in the community. Young people should also avoid the prohibited goods such as alcohol (liquor) and drugs because they can harm themselves,” he said.
