goodmorningpapua.com – Seasonal traders of pastries for Christmas have mushroomed in Jayapura City, Papua. A variety of the latest model cakes are offered at affordable prices.
Like the view on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jayapura City, pastry traders have lined up offering a variety of cakes for Christmas. Various new cake models are also offered by traders with tempting flavors.
“We just started selling this week, and thank God we have sold 8 cartons,” said Rani, a seasonal pastry trader, Friday, December 17, 2021.
Rani admitted that sales of pastries in 2021 were better than when the pandemic hit this country. In fact, Rani and other traders have dared to offer the latest cake models to provide choices for customers in Jayapura.
“This year, I sold many new cakes, such as blackpink cakes, oreo cakes, cheese nut cakes and several other new models. Customers already know the taste of the cakes that I sell,” said Rani.
The same thing was conveyed by Hajah Sanawiyah who claimed to have sold 5 cartons of pastries. He also believes that sales will continue to increase until the new year 2022.
“I prepared 300 cartons of pastries and the cakes that I sell use premium ingredients, such as butter with a good brand, flour and other ingredients as well,” he explained.
Besides Hajah Sanawiyah, pastries with premium ingredients also almost enlivened the pastry market in Jayapura City. As revealed by Epi, who chooses premium ingredients for their pastries.
According to Epi, premium ingredients will add a delicious taste to the cakes sold for Eid and Christmas. The average pastries offered ranged from Rp. 40 thousand to Rp. 45 thousand.
“I’ve been selling pastries like this for a long time, it’s just that during Lebaran I added it by selling wet cakes,” admits Epi.
