goodmorningpapua.com – The Papua Provincial House has approved the Papua Provincial Government’s proposal through the Papuan Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) on the disbursement of funds for Papuan athletes who won medals at the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) 2021.
“The policy of the Governor of Papua for athletes who won gold medals to get Rp. 1 billion is correct. The chairman of KONI conveyed that the budget was through KONI. We, DPRP, approved it,” said Member of Commission II DPRP, Mustakim to goodmorningpapua.com on the sidelines of his busy schedule, Tuesday. (26/10/2021).
He explained, the provincial government provided a bonus of Rp. 1 billion for gold medal-winning athletes in the 2021 Regional Budget (APBD) amendment.
“The source of the funds from SILPA 2020 is Rp. 3.2 trillion. Part of this SILPA is used in the 2021 main budget, the rest is for the revised APBD, including accommodating bonuses for outstanding Papuan athletes,” he said.
The Democrat politician, who often meets people in isolated areas, detailed that the 2021 master budget has absorbed Silpa funds of around Rp. 1 trillion more.
One of them is used for urgent needs including assisting the noken police admission.
While the revised 2021 APBD, Silpa is also used for the needs of the National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) in Jayapura.
“The 2021 Papuan Provincial Budget was ratified last September 30. The next is the executive consultation period to the Minister of Home Affairs. The Rp 1 billion bonus has been budgeted. In the near future it is possible to disburse it,” he said.
