Not only the creative economy, PT Pertamina also focuses on rising the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) industry in Papua.
One of the ways Pertamina has done is by cooperating with the Papua Muda Inspiratif community.
Pertamina together with Inspiring Young Papua have started implementing programs to advance the MSME sector and the creative economy in Papua.
Some of these programs include the development of MSME packaging, photography competitions, and creative economy development training.
Apart from that, another program carried out by Pertamina and Papua Muda Inspiratif is building an MSME house in Tobati Village, Jayapura City, Papua.
Previously, a Deputy Director of Papua Muda Inspiratif, Neil Aiwoy, said these programs were a small step.
Neil Aiwoy wants this small step that has been carried out to have a big impact on society.
“We want to spend a lot of money for training, but if the people themselves are not aware, then nothing will change,” said Neil Aiwoy in Jayapura City, Wednesday (7/12/2022).
Neil Aiwoy hopes that this program and method must also receive support from the community so that it can run well.
Neil Aiwoy added, the presence of Inspiring Young Papua itself is not a form of competition against other communities.
Precisely, he wants through this there is a collaboration created between the community and the Regional Government (Pemda).
“Papua Muda Inspiratif are here not to compete or compete, but to work together and collaborate to do good things,” he stated.
