Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of Papua Increases 8.3 Percent

goodmorningpapua.com – The Provincial Government of Papua has ratified a Decree (SK) for the 2023 UMP (Provincial Minimum Wage) with an amount of 8.3 percent. The Regional Secretary of the Papua Province, M. Ridwan Ruusukun through the Head of the Papua Province Perindagkop Office, Omah Laduuani Ladamay explained, the UMP was stipulated based on the results of the Wage Council Session which was held last Thursday (24/11).

“From these results it was decided that the UMP for Papua was IDR 3,864,696, or an increase of 8.3 percent, namely IDR 302,764. This was the UMP for Papua,” he told goodmorningpapua.com, Monday (28/11) yesterday.

He admitted that the increase in the UMP in 2023 was quite large. In determining the UMP itself, the Papua Provincial Government, together with the Papua Provincial Wage Council, had also held a meeting.
