goodmorningpapua.com – The Provincial Government of Papua is ready to allocate 40 percent of the 2022 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) worth IDR 3.2 trillion for spending on goods and services for domestic products. A Head of the Papua Goods and Services Procurement Bureau, Debora Salosa, said the budget allocation was in accordance with President Joko Widodo’s direction to increase the use of domestic products, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“The president has targeted that in 2022 there will be Rp 500 trillion in spending for the use of domestic products,” he said in Jayapura, Papua, Monday (30/5/2022).
According to Debora, as much as 40 percent of the Papua 2022 APBD or around IDR 3.2 trillion must be used for spending on domestic products. “The President’s instructions will be further elaborated on the expenditure of goods and services through e-catalogs or large-scale electronic catalogs using domestic components,” he said.
He explained that currently his party is compiling a local e-catalog in which several products enter the selection stage because there are conditions that must be met. “Our target is that this e-catalog will start broadcasting in August 2022,” he said.
He added, after the process, his party will conduct a selection process to enter the local e-catalog, so that decision making must be wise so that all can feel the benefits, especially for indigenous Papuan entrepreneurs. “Now, we just want to collect data such as eating, drinking, work, uniforms, office stationery and some construction equipment, after that it will be decided at the leadership level,” he said.
