goodmorningpapua.com – The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) again held a Creative Video Workshop “Digital Workshop for My Teras Negeri” with the theme Collaboration for Children of the Nation: Papua X Yogyakarta, Thursday 27 October 2022 in DI Yogyakarta Province. This time, the workshop, which was held in order to optimize the potential of the young Papuan generation, took Papuan young people who were studying in the student city.

The Coordinator of Information and Communication for Defense and Security, Directorate General of Information and Public Communication (IKP), Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Dikdik Sadaka, said that Kemkominfo currently continues to focus on building and improving the intellectuals and skills of Papuan youth. “Through this activity, we hope that the Papuan generation will be motivated to make progress for themselves and for the region,” said Dikdik.

Dikdik explained, one of the objectives of this activity is to provide provisions for young Papuan people related to today’s life which has entered the digital era. “Infrastructure in Papua has begun to be prepared. Humans who are the main element of progress, of course, must also be equipped. It is because digitalization can have both positive and negative impacts,” he said.

The Teras Negeriku Digital Workshop Program is a series of debriefing programs about the importance of personal branding, especially through positive content on social media targeted at young Papuans throughout Indonesia. “Several cities in Indonesia have been visited. Towards the end of the year, this program is aimed at Papuan students on the island of Java. Papuan youth must move forward,” said Dikdik. It is hoped that when the young Papuan generation who is studying in other areas returns to their original area, they can become an inspiration and motivator for the progress of the Papuan people.

The event, which was initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, made a workshop format for producing short video content on social media. This workshop presents experienced speakers in creative content creation on the Tiktok and IG Reels platforms.
