Papua Youth Creative Construction Targeted to be accomplished in December 2022

goodmorningpapua.com – Supporting the development of the young generation in Papua, the Ministry of PUPR is building the Papua Youth Creative Hub. The site is expected to be completed in December 2022.

The presence of the Papua Youth Creative Hub is expected to be a driving force in the development of young talents as well as a center for creativity for young Papuans in strengthening the innovation and technology ecosystem. President Joko Widodo at the groundbreaking of the Papua Youth Creative on October 2, 2021, said that there were many superior seeds in Papua and West Papua, both in the fields of science, arts and culture, and sports.

“This is a big task for all of us to prepare good talent management for organizing, this is where the role of the Papua Youth Creative Hub will be,” said the President. The construction was carried out by the Ministry of PUPR through the Directorate General of Human Settlements. Later, the Papua Youth Creative Hub will have a two-stories building with an area of ​​5,392 square meters and 3,000 square meters of green land.

The construction design consists of the main building, dormitory, sport venue, hall for exhibitions or presentations, and co-working space.

In addition, a parking area with a capacity of 53 cars and 154 motorbikes was also built, as well as a landscape. The Papua Youth Creative Hub will begin construction on September 29, 2021 and is targeted for completion on December 23, 2022.

PT Nindya Karya is a construction contractor for the Papua Youth Creative Hub with a budget of Rp 95.05 billion. Currently, his physical progress has reached 18.5 percent. The development of the Papua Youth Creative Hub is a follow-up to President Jokowi’s meeting with Papuan youths at the State Palace in September 2019.

It is planned that the Papua Youth Creative Hub will also accommodate various talents such as millennial farmers, digital ecosystems, to research and innovation development.
