Papua Tourism: The Enchantment of Jokowi Hill in Jayapura

The name Bukit Jokowi is taken from the name of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo or who is familiarly called Jokowi.

The naming of Jokowi Hill began when President Jokowi and his entourage visited to the location at the top of the hill to see the location of the construction of the Holtekamp Bridge or Youtefa Bridge in 2014.

At that time Jokowi only stopped briefly for approximately 20 minutes. Since then, the area has been known as Bukit Jokowi. Jokowi Hill is a popular tourist destination visited by many local and foreign tourists.

The reason is, from this hill, visitors are presented with a beautiful view of Youtefa Bay which is blue. The green trees on the hill will also add to the beautiful panorama there.

Not only that, tourists can also see the red Youtefa Bridge that stretches over Youtefa Bay.
