goodmorningpapua.com – Papua currently receives an allocation of 158,400 liters of subsidized cooking oil to be distributed in three districts and one city.
A Head of the Papua Food Task Force Kombes Rico Taruna on Tuesday (5/4/2022) in Jayapura admitted that the four regions receiving subsidized cooking oil were Jayapura City and Regency, Mimika and Biak Numfor District. Each regency and city will get 26,400 liters or 1,320 jirigen size 20 liters.
The subsidized cooking oil was sent from Surabaya using a cargo ship scheduled to arrive in Timika, Monday (9/4/2022) using KM SPIL Hayu. For Jayapura Regency and City, four times transportation will be sent using KM Oriental Diamond which is scheduled to arrive on April 13 and April 19.
“As for Biak, KM Oriental Emerald will be transported which is scheduled to arrive on April 20,” explained Rico Taruna.
Kombes Rico Taruna who also serves as Dirkrimsus Polda Papua hopes that the distribution of subsidized cooking oil can be allocated to people really need it. The Papua Food Task Force will monitor its distribution so that it is right on target, Kombes Rico Taruna hopes.
Meanwhile, a Branch Head of PT Irian Jaya Sehat Jayapura (IJS) Andri as the appointed distributor admitted that he is ready to distribute subsidized cooking oil to people who need it, including traders (MSMEs). “The distribution will also be carried out to markets throughout Jayapura City at a price according to the HET, which is Rp. 14,000/liter,” said Andri.
