Papua Has a New Province (Again)

goodmorningpapua.com – After previously adding three new provinces, namely Central Papua, South Papua, and Papua Pegunungan, in the future Papua is going to add one more new province, namely Southwest Papua.

This was evidenced by the approval of Commission II of the DPR RI regarding the Draft Law (RUU) for the establishment of Southwest Papua which was brought to the DPR Plenary Meeting.

Southwest Papua, which is planned to have a capital city named Sorong, covers 6 areas, including Sorong City, Sorong Regency, South Sorong Regency, Raja Ampat, Maybrat Regency and Tambrauw Regency.
