goodmorningpapua.com – Exponent Muda Papua (EMP) launched the Papua Digital Academy program which provides training in writing skills, infographic design, and videographic design for young Papuans.
A General Chairperson of EMP Rahman Patur said the program was aimed at improving Papua’s human resources (HR) through developing skills and competencies in the fields of technology and communication.
“We are aware that the readiness of Papuan human resources today in welcoming the era of society 5.0 is still very minimal. Don’t worry, adapting to industry 4.0 at this time can be said that Papuan human resources today are still far behind compared to other regions,” said Rahman in a written statement, Thursday (10/11/2022).
He conveyed this at the launch of the program at Kafe Teduh, Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday (9/11).
Rahman also added that the focus of the Papua Digital Academy program is to facilitate Papuan students in Bali in digital competence. In practice, this program involves practitioners in the field of digital technology and experienced mentors in digital writing and design.
“For that, I hope that this activity can benefit Papuan students in Bali to rebuild Papua,” he said.
In the early stages, Rahman continued, this program will be launched in four regions, namely, Bali, Tangerang, Bandung and Semarang.
“We plan to present it in several areas such as Malang, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Ambon, Ternate and areas where there are a lot of Papuan students there. For that, we ask for prayers and support for the smooth running of this activity,” he said.
Rahman also hopes that with the presence of this program, Papuan students can develop their abilities in mastering digital technology.
