Social communication is part of the TNI’s territorial development task aiming to improve the relationship between the TNI and various community groups so that mutual understanding and togetherness grows in maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.
“All task forces under TNI Headquarters, which are now in Papua and West Papua, are now the Kodim Task Force with their respective Koramil, then there is the Air Base Task Force (Lanud) and the Lanal Task Force,” said the TNI Commander, Sunday, December 3, 2021. .
He conveyed that the Army District Military Command (Kodim) Task Force carried out territorial development and social communication to the people of Papua and West Papua.
“We look at the geographical aspect, the population, then social communication,” Andika said in a virtual meeting with the Military Commander XVII/Cendrawasih Major General TNI Ignatius Yogo Triyono and Pangdam XVIII/Casuari Major General TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa.
Meanwhile, the main task of the Lanud Task Force is to develop aerospace potential and social communication, while the Lanal Task Force in Papua and West Papua is to develop maritime potential and social communication.
Not only changing the focus of work, General Andika also merged and added task force personnel, removed locations, and added facilities needed by the task force.
“I have the responsibility to prepare in advance for new places, even though we have chosen this new place, to be realistic is ok, but I still have to fulfill the vital items,” explained Andika.
The change is one of the refresher and strengthening steps taken by the TNI Commander so that members of the task force can carry out their main tasks and functions professionally, he said.
TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa is committed to using a humanist approach to solving problems in Papua and West Papua. He has conveyed this commitment since the fit and proper test at the DPR RI until now serving as the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces.
