This can be seen from the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) of 99.07% of the population of West Papua who have become JKN participants.
For this achievement, a Director of BPJS Kesehatan [Healthcare and Social Security Agency], Lily Kresnowati, accompanied by Head of BPJS Kesehatan Manokwari Branch Deny Jermy Eka Putra Mase handed over the UHC Award Certificate to Acting Governor of West Papua Paulus Waterpauw, Monday (05/12).
This award is related to the determination of West Papua Province which has reached the UHC JKN program for achieving JKN membership of 1,150,186 people or 99.07%, of the total population of 1,161,028 people. This achievement even exceeds the target of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which targets a minimum of 98% of the population to be protected by JKN in 2024.
Apart from that, a Memorandum of Understanding and the JKN Program UHC Work Plan were also signed between the BPJS Kesehatan Deputy for Papua and West Papua Region and the Provincial Government of West Papua.
“West Papua is the fourth province out of all provinces in Indonesia after NAD, DKI Jakarta and Bengkulu.
