Nataniel D. Mandacan officially leads the Indonesian Red Cross in West Papua Province for the 2020-2025 period. The inauguration was led by the Secretary General of PMI, Sudirman Sahid in Manokwari, Wednesday 8 September 2021.
Apart from Nataniel, Sudirman Sahid also appointed Ranley H.L Mansawan as a Deputy Chairman of PMI West Papua, Steven Roger Tanamal as a Secretary and Suryati Faisal as a Treasurer .
A General Secretary of PMI, Sudirman Sahid, in his remarks asked the newly appointed administrators to run PMI in West Papua. First, developing regeneration of volunteer and secondly prioritizing neutralization in developing PMI.
The Deputy Governor of West Papua, Mohammad Lakotani, believes that the new management will make a better contribution in carrying out humanitarian tasks in West Papua Province.
Lakotani ensured that the West Papua Provincial Government would fully support PMI’s program and performance. He hopes that the new management can provide good service and redevelop young volunteers.
“I hope PMI can be more responsive, fast and caring, so let’s unite together and unite our vision and mission to advance West Papua Province for the better,” he hoped.
The chairman of PMI West Papua , Nataniel Mandacan stated that he would further develop PMI throughout West Papua. He will also uphold professionalism in providing services to the community.
“PMI West Papua in carrying out their duties from time to time will always strive to increase capacity and performance, always upholding professionalism in providing services to the community,” he said.
According to Nathaniel, PMI is a strategic and mutually beneficial government partner for the corporate and individual sectors. Therefore, PMI needs to be maintained, managed professionally by prioritizing the 7 PMI principles, namely humanity, equality, neutrality, independence, volunteerism, unity and universality.
