MIPA Becomes the Favorite Subject for New Pupils in Merauke

The principal of SMA Negeri 3 Merauke, Elly Abida Saragih, confirmed the information. In fact, of the 9 classes, 7 of them are Mathematics and Natural Sciences classes, while the two others are Social Sciences [IPS] classes.

“This indicates that new students have above average abilities to enter the Mathematics and Natural Sciences major,” said Elly Abida after the handover of new students from parents to the school, Monday, July 25, 2022.

According to Elly Abida, SMA Negeri.3 Merauke is one of the aimed schools for junior high school (SMP) graduates. This can be seen from the interest of junior high school graduates who register online or online.

“If you look at the number of registrants, it reaches 412 children. However, 318 children received, this is in accordance with our acceptance quota,” he explained.

Registration for the online system, said the woman, who has only served as principal for a day, can be done through several channels, starting from zoning, affirmation, transfer of parents, and achievement.

“SMA Negeri 3 is one of the leading schools in Merauke. Various achievements have been obtained ranging from sports, science to skills. Perhaps, because it is one of the leading schools, so many children are interested in attending this school,” said Elly.
