“With your prayers, this city is already in the green zone (with) 0 percent of Covid-19 cases, so I ask all people to keep praying to keep the city of Jayapura protected from covid-19 and this disease was erased by God Almighty. ,” said Tomi Mano.
According to Tomi Mano, Jayapura City has been in the green zone since three days ago, but is still at level 2 of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). It is because there are still many parents who have not been vaccinated.
“We have been in the green zone for three days, but we are not yet at level 1 and still at level 2, because there are still many of our parents (elderly) who have not been vaccinated,” said BTM, a Jayapura mayor’s nickname.
BTM admitted that he was proud of the hard work of the Jayapura City Police Chief and Jayapura Dandim 1701 so that the number of people who had been vaccinated reached 76.49 percent of the first vaccine, then 54 percent of the second dose of vaccine and 43 percent of the third dose of vaccine.
“I hope that the public can vaccinate, because many have not been vaccinated,” said BTM, quoted in a release issued by Public Relations of the Jayapura City Police.
For the end of the new year, BTM asked the community to conduct worship at home according to their respective beliefs. While open houses are only recommended for close families.
“For Christmas and New Year, there are no events after the New Year anywhere, only worship at home according to their beliefs. In this city, we hold an open house, but only close family members attend and continue to follow the prokes,” said BTM.
On that occasion, BTM also expressed its gratitude to all religious leaders, because Jayapura City received the highest award from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the Harmonious City Award Award.
The year-end meeting which took place at D’Santee Fishing and Koya Barat Restaurant, Muara Tami District, was attended by the Jayapura City Police Chief Kombes Gustav R Urbinas, Jayapura City DPRD Chairman Abisai Rollo, Dandim 1701/Jayapura Infantry Lieutenant Colonel R Arnold Sangari and Jayapura Deputy Mayor Rustan Saru .
