Indigenous Women from England Attend KMAN VI, Papua

goodmorningpapua.com – An indigenous woman from the United Kingdom, Lizabet was present at a conference in Dondai Village which took place on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

This representative of indigenous women from England attended the second day of the conference which discussed the topic of “Indigenous Women Are Warriors of Social Change, We Are Here!”.

The traditional woman from the United Kingdom, who is called Mis Liz, looks happy when women from all over the archipelago are actively involved in conveying their thoughts which have been a dead end issue.

To reporters, Miss Liz saw that there was a sense of pride for indigenous women in Indonesia. According to her, what is voiced by indigenous women of the archipelago through the Congress of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (KMAN), is a universal and global issue.

“There are indigenous peoples in other countries who are experiencing the same thing, not only in Indonesia. I am happy to see and hear Indonesian women come together and talk for change,” she said.

According to Mis Liz, women speak out for many people, for good changes so that indigenous people are strong. “This is certainly not something that should be taken lightly, women speak for many people, women speak for good change, so that indigenous people are strong,” said Mis Liz.

After greeting the reporters, Miss Liz rushed to the restaurant to enjoy the local culinary “khani Ase” which means in Dondai language it is food that is burned in the ground, covered with leaves for a day and the condition is still warm.
