goodmorningpapua.com – The Regency Government of Manokwari won an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board (BPK RI) of West Papua Representative on Regional Financial Reports in 2019 and 2020.
Manokwari Regent, Hermus Indou, told reporters at Balitbangda, Monday, May 17, 2021 that he expressed his gratitude for the WTP opinion in the past two years. In his opinion, this achievement represents progress made in the regional financial management.
However, the Regent admitted that there were several notes or recommendations from the BPK that had to be accomplished within the next 60 days. For example, notes concerning with the presentation of financial statements which must be based on Government Accounting Standards.
Then, continued the former Chairman of the KNPI for these two periods, notes on the internal control system, as well as compliance with legislation in regional financial management.
“Most of the notes or recommendations submitted to the Manokwari Regional Government have been followed up. The point is I say that the management of the Manokwari regional finances is already very good,” said Hermus Indou. He hopes that the achievement of successive WTP must be maintained in the next fiscal year. “Obtaining WTP opinion does not mean without records, as a human being is given trust,” he said.
