goodmorningpapua.com – A Jayapura Regent Mathius Awoitauw officially inaugurated three village heads in the Yahim, Hobong and Yobeh areas on Monday 29 November 2021.

The inauguration of the three village heads for the 2021-2027 period took place at the Yahim Village Hall, Sentani City District, witnessed by ondofolo and people from three villages.

The three village heads inaugurated were the head of the Hobong village, Bram Kebey, the head of the Yobeh village, Sostinus Sokoy, and the head of the Yahim village, Deni Monim.

Jayapura Regency Regent Mathius Awoitauw in his speech emphasized to the new village heads to maximize service to the community.

“Why do I emphasize service to the community, because in some villages, the role of the village head has changed. (In fact) there are village heads who are difficult for the community to meet, even though those who vote live in one village, but for meeting them is very difficult,” he said.

Mathius also advised the newly appointed village head to be transparent in the use of village funds and the programs implemented, so that the community can know the progress of activities to advance the village.

“The budget provided to the village must be in accordance with the expectations and needs of the people in the village, we are just monitoring it,” said Mathius.

On that occasion, Mathius asked the village head to pay attention to the activities of the church, PAUD and PKK for the character formation of future generations. “This is also an important record for all of us,” Mathius added.
