goodmorningpapua.com – The Madura Family Association (IKAMA) of Papua Province has raised humanitarian aid funds to help in easing the grief of victims of the Mount Semeru eruption, Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
Fundraising in three locations was carried out with youth groups. The humanitarian action was held at Youtefa Market, Abepura Red Light Circle and Red Light Dock II Jayapura City.
This action involved all youth elements of IKAMA, including PUMA (Madura Youth), APRM (Madura Barbershop Association), K-Conk Pangkas, K-Conk Jayapura and Madura Jaya.
A chairman of the Jayapura City IKAMA, Marlan said that this action was a response to the instructions from the Central IKAMA in Jakarta to distribute aid generated from the fundraising in a centralized manner.
“We are also open for donations via transfer for other Papuan IKAMA DPCs such as Biak, Wamena, Nabire and other areas,” said Marlan in Jayapura, Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
Based on the results of the temporary fundraising, IKAMA Papua managed to raise funds of Rp. 19,254,000.
“This is a form the Madurese concern, especially in Jayapura, to foster a sense of solidarity and invite the community to cultivate tolerance so that we are all aware of the importance of unity in diversity,” said Marlan.
