goodmorningpapua.com – The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Jayapura Regency, Hana Hikoyabi, requested hotel, restaurant and food stall entrepreneurs not to serve tax officers from Bappenda who did not wear official clothes and identification cards.
“Don’t be served if the officer doesn’t wear official clothes and identification. Especially if the person concerned is drunk. Good officers must be disciplined and speak good language,” said Regional Secretary Hana Hikoyabi, during a friendly activity between the Jayapura Regency Government and hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs as partners which was held in the hall on the second floor of the Regent’s office, Gunung Merah, Tuesday 26 April 2022.
He explained that the government’s efforts in the activities carried out were aimed at maximizing PAD sources, so that there would be new leaps to increase PAD.
“Later on, there will be a sticker affixed to the cashier, and customers have to receive a shopping receipt or meal receipt. If the customer is not given the receipt, the customer must reprimand the cashier, because otherwise they could be penalized,” said Hana.
In this activity, the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) of Jayapura Regency reminded hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs to pay taxes regularly.
The Jayapura Regency Government mentions that restaurant and hotel taxes are a source of PAD. The obligation to pay hotel and restaurant taxes is stated in the circular letter of the Regent of Jayapura Regency Number 970/04/SE/SET in the context of controlling regional taxes in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 7 of 2018.
That, the points listed in the circular require hotel, restaurant as well as eating house entrepreneurs to use a Tapping Box or transaction recording device and must install a sticker which will be distributed by the Jayapura Regency Bappenda.
