goodmorningpapua.com – The Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of Papua Province has paid the debt of study and living costs for 355 students from that area who are studying abroad (LN) in five countries.
A Head of BPSDM Papua Aryoko AF Rumaropen said the payments made using reserve funds allocated in 2022 amounted to IDR 300 billion.
“The 355 Papuan students consist of 204 students in the United States, then 68 Australian students, then 7 Japanese students, and 17 students in Canada and 59 New Zealand students,” he said in a press release in Jayapura, Wednesday 27 April 2022.
According to Aryoko, the payment of study and living costs for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels as well as professional and vocational students.
“We made payments in stages (22/4) to students in Japan, then (25/4) New Zealand, then (26/4) Australia all through Bank Mandiri,” he said.
He explained that this week all payments for study and living costs from January to April 2022 had been completed.
“We also remind all Papuan students who receive scholarships from the Papua Provincial Government who are actively studying at home and abroad to regularly report the results of their studies,” he said again.
He added that the basic payment for living expenses was in accordance with the report on the results of their studies.
