Good News, a Papua Covid-19 Patient Recovery Rate Reaches 96.7 Percent – A Papua Covid-19 Task Force released the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients reaching 96.7 percent or 41,370 people from the cumulative number of confirmed 42,773 people.

While those who are still under treatment are 186 people or 0.4 percent and the number who died is 1,217 people or 2.8 percent.

Until October 24, 2021, the number of daily cases has only reached 3 persons spread in Mimika 1 case and Merauke 2 cases. The rest from 27 regencies/cities have no daily additional cases.

The Papua Covid-19 Task Force believes that the decline in the number of Covid-19 in Papua is in line with the increase in vaccination coverage.

Until 18.00 WIT on October 25, 2021, the coverage of the first vaccination in Papua reached 54.75 percent and the second vaccination coverage reached 32.9 percent.

With the highest vaccination coverage in Merauke 76.4 percent, followed by Jayapura City 69.4 percent, Mimika 64.6 percent, Jayapura Regency 61.7 percent and Keerom Regency 21.74 percent.

Meanwhile, the lowest coverage was in Waropen and the Bintang Mountains, which reached 6-10 percent.
