The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno stated, the floating village deserves to be included in The list is due to the superiority of nature, temples, crafts, and culture.

“With various advantages ranging from nature, culinary arts, crafts to culture, Yoboi Village deserves to be listed in the top 50 best tourist villages in Indonesia,” said Sandiaga in a press release, Tuesday (21/9).

During his visit, Sandiaga interacted with local residents for approximately three hours. On that occasion, he praised the natural beauty of the floating village. For  him, the village above the river is a very comfortable village.

“This is a very comfortable village even though it is above the river and is the only floating village where water is the source of life for several villages around Lake Sentan,” said Sandiaga.

Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw, on the same occasion appreciated Sandiaga’s presence. According to Mathius, Sandiaga was the only minister who visited Yoboi Village.
