Generation of Papuans Unites to Realize Social Justice – A Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), John Wempi Wetipo, invoked the Papuan generation to unite in realizing the fifth principle of Pancasila, namely social justice for all Indonesian people.

This, said Wempi, as a form of responsibility to the state related to the formation of three new provinces in Papua, namely South Papua, Papua Pegunungan, and Central Papua.

“Let’s unite to realize social justice for all Indonesian people, especially those in Papua,” said Wempi when meeting with regents and leaders in Central Papua, Monday, July 25, 2022.

According to Wempi, this meeting is one of the efforts to answer the challenge so that the formation of 3 new provinces in Papua can elevate the degree and dignity of the Papuan people.

He also appreciated the parties who attended the meeting. He expressed his gratitude for the rousing welcome given to him in Central Papua.

“School children with flying flags are the future, the future of this land. Because our nation and country in the years to come will face a large demographic bonus, generations will be born,” he said.

Wempi believes that the formation of 3 New Autonomous Regions (DOB) in Papua will result in better changes. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the people who want change.

In addition, he continued, the policy is also considered to be enjoyed by future generations. He advised the regional chairpersons who were present at the forum to embrace the community so that they would be more united for the better.

Moreover, the wealth of natural resources in Papua is very abundant. It is the responsibility of all parties in Papua so that they can use it to achieve prosperity.

“I am standing here not representing the Papuan people. I am standing here representing the country to convince all of us that the state provides a great opportunity for the Papuan people so that they can stand upright to build absolute prosperity for the people,” said Wempi.
