“The Master of Communication Studies Program is an honor because this is one of the fields that is still relatively rare in Cenderawasih Earth,” said Head of the XIV Papua and West Papua Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI), Suriel Mofu, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
He said that state universities in Papua also do not have a Masters Program in Communication Studies. Suriel hopes that the presence of the Master of Communication Science Program can be utilized by the people of Papua.
“We hope that the University of Muhammadiyah Papua will lead in the field of communication because communication is one of the advantages of being able to provide undeniable truth-based information,” he said.
He said that the Muhammadiyah University of Papua could produce communication scientists. Thus, it can illuminate the darkness regarding untrue information in the Land of Papua.
“It’s a challenge that communication scientists have to do, so that we hope to be able to do it,” he said.
His party appreciates the University of Muhammadiyah Papua presenting a study program that is very relevant to today’s world developments.
“This is the science of the future, we hope that many people will be able to take part in the Postgraduate Program in Communication Studies at the Muhammadiyah University of Papua,” said Suriel.
