goodmorningpapua.com – The Papua Provincial Government will provide a grant of IDR 10 billion to each province in the New Autonomous Region (DOB), namely South Papua, Central Papua and Papua Pegunungan.
An Assistant for the Economy and People’s Welfare Division of the Regional Secretariat of Papua Muhammad Musa’ad said that the grant funds for the three new provinces were allocated through the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the Amendment of the Papua Provincial Government this year.
“The granting of funds will last for three years from 2022 to 2024,” said Musa’ad as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 16.
According to Musa’ad, the funds are intended to support the administration of each new autonomous region.
“The funds for the three newly divided provinces will be handed over to the Papua Provincial Government in October 2022,” he said.
He explained that this was done so that this grant was called the mini Regional Budget (APBD) because it was only valid for a few months.
Meanwhile, a Head of Working Group (Pokja) I of the Task Force (Satgas) for the Escort of New Autonomous Regions (DOB) Sri Handoko Taruna said that his party continues to prepare everything related to the smooth running of the government process in the three New Autonomous Regions (DOB).
Now, for him, his party is starting to identify some of the necessary needs, one of which is preparing a mini APBD for October to December 2022.
“This mini-budget is supported by grant funds from four districts in the South Papua Province, and from that result we have signed the grant agreement for the next three months,” said Handoko, who is the Director of National Awareness.
