goodmorningpapua.com – Bulog guarantees the availability of rice in Papua during Ramadan until Eid. A Head of Bulog Papua and West Papua, Raden Guna Dharma, explained that the stock of rice in the local Bulog warehouse is more than 4000 tons.
“Meanwhile, the average demand for distribution, including stability in the market, is around 1,300 tons per month. Currently, the availability of rice in the warehouse (Bulog) can last up to the next 3 months,” he said, Tuesday (4/19/2022).
Bulog claims that the demand for basic necessities is still at a normal level in Papua. It’s just that specifically for cooking oil still needs to be discussed in the relevant agencies.
Meanwhile, to meet the needs of meat ahead of Eid al-Fitr in Papua, Bulog continues to coordinate with the regional government and the local livestock service.
“Currently, 6 tons of Timika are in the process of being shipped. Then Merauke and other regions will follow, because meat storage must have specific and adequate storage facilities,” he said.
