goodmorningpapua.com – Execution of the Trans Papua Road connecting the southern region between Merauke Regency and Boven Digoel Regency continues to be accelerated.
The section of Getentiri Road up to the Merauke and Boven Digoel boundaries which ever had been concerned is now smooth and passable for vehicles. The road preservation construction work between Kali Mandom and Ujung Sawit has been accelerated by the winning bidder, PT Citra Salim Serasi.
Previously, the 2020-2021 budget year project, which was valued at IDR 121,350,001,093,00, was delayed until the end of 2021. However, with the addition of 90 working days and the payment of fines by the company, the national road project can be carried out quickly.
A Head of the Regional III National Road Implementation Unit for Papua Province, Tanah Merah, Frengky said, the Kali Mandom-Ujung Sawit Road section is currently being accelerated. This section of the road has entered the completion stage.
Meanwhile, for a number of roads that are still damaged, Frengky said it has not been included in the work agenda.
“Of the 77 kilometers, approximately 40 kilometers are in good condition, this is what many drivers complain about. It’s just that these 40 kilometers have not been included in our work program,” said Frengky by telephone.
The section of the Getentiri Road to the Merauke – Boven Digoel boundary is already smooth. The winning bidder continues to do the work day and night.
“Yes, our problem here is that the rainfall is quite high,” said one Trans Papua Road worker.
