Establishment of Central Papua Receives the Great Support

goodmorningpapua.com – The establishment of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) of Central Papua Province received support from various parties. One of them came from the Regent of Nabire, Mesak Magai.

In his support, the leader in Nabire plans to give up the official house he occupies to be used by the Acting Governor of Central Papua.

This support and commitment received appreciation from the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri), John Wempi Wetipo during a field visit to Nabire, Monday 25 July 2022.

“He (Regent of Nabire) said that he only lived in my private house (Regent of Nabire). So I leave the official house to the Acting Governor to see how I can build it for the Central Papua region,” said Wempi.

The Papuan son, who has served as Regent of Jayawijaya for two terms, is also proud of the land that is planned to be prepared for the ranks of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Central Papua.

In Wempi’s opinion, the willingness of the Regents and the community shows their support for development in the area so that it runs better. These commitments will be submitted to the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri).

“This is mainly related to the infrastructure development plan in Central Papua. The momentum for new autonomous regions is the right time to unite with each other,” said Wempi.

On that occasion, Wempi also emphasized that infrastructure development in the new autonomous regions requires the support of various parties. Therefore, Wempi encourages the parties in Papua to continue to be committed to supporting the existence of new autonomous regions.

“I invoke, let’s unite, those who accept or reject it, it’s time for us to unite to build the welfare of the Papuan people for the better,” said Wempi again.

At the end of his speech, Wempi again expressed his appreciation to all parties. This appreciation is especially related to support for the development plan in the Province of Central Papua.

“Once again, on behalf of the Indonesian Minister of Home Affairs, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of us. We will immediately carry out the socialization of its derivatives (towards new autonomous regions),” he said.
