Developing Triton Bay, a Kaimana Regent Presents the Master Plan to the Vice President – The government of Kaimana Regency, West Papua Province continues to strive to boost the tourism sector in the region by developing Triton Bay.

This step was taken following the fact that the area to the south of Papua Island has a series of very promising tourist charms. The local government of Kaimana has even promoted out of Papua to attract tourists.

For Kaimana Regency, tourism is indeed one of the lending sectors besides fisheries. For this reason, the development of this sector was proposed to President Joko Widodo during his visit to Kaimana.

Likewise during the visit of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Sandiaga Salahudin Uno in Kaimana on 25 October 2021. Until now the presence of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin is on 30 November 2022.

During the visit of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, the Kaimana Government again proposed tourism development as well as handed over the master plan for the development of Triton Bay at the Resto Kaimana Beach Hotel, Thursday 1 December 2022.

Kaimana Regent Freddy Thie said that the proposal submitted to the Vice President was not only a matter of tourism, but also proposed other documents related to accelerating the development of Kaimana.

In the presence of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and a Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi Wetipo, Freddy said that the master plan for the development of Triton Bay was prepared by Udayana University.

“I want to deliver to the Vice President that what is in Raja Ampat is also in Kaimana, and what is in Kaimana I said is not in Raja Ampat. Hopefully this proposal will become a priority program for the central government for tourism development in Kaimana district,” he said.

He hopes that the visit of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin can boost Kaimana’s popularity as the City of Dusk. So that tourism in Kaimana can compete with other regions in Papua and West Papua.
