goodmorningpapua.com – An Acting (Pj) Governor of West Papua, Komjen (P) Drs Paulus Waterpauw, M.Si invited students to take turns watching the film Tegar for each school. For him, the film Tegar can motivate anyone, from children to adults.
“We will rotate the schools to make it mandatory to watch this film. We (the government) paying it. The children came and continued watching. In the next few days, it will be discussed with the management (XXI). This film is fabulous and encourages the creativity of other young people,” he explained, after the Tegar film screening at Manokawari Mall, Tuesday 6 December 2022.
Not only that, the Acting Governor will also encourage joint collaboration by holding joint events that are offline, by asking for support from all observers for children and parents who are not as fortunate in their daily lives.
“The song ‘Dare to Dream’ [Berani Bermimpi] is good, the moment is proper and it doesn’t take long, especially before Christmas and the New Year. We quickly prepare various efforts in order to tap the hearts of benefactors, parties who care about children and parents who are disadvantaged in their daily lives,” he explained.
Joanita Catherine, a singer of the song “Dare to Dream”, which is one of the soundtracks for the film Tegar, was grateful for the presence of the acting governor who was willing to nominate the film Tegar.
“This is a gift from God. We invite the head of the service to attend, but you (the acting governor) can come here. This is a gift to us. I want friends with disabilities, with special needs to be given more opportunities. They are stronger than we think, “he explained. He also hopes that one day, Tegar will be able to attend school children and watch together in Manokwari.
On that occasion, the Acting Governor also shared his story of having played in a film with the title Si Tikam Polisi Noken. He plays a priest who reconciles war in a village.
