Boosting an Educational Progress, 106 Principals of Papuan Schools Inaugurated Virtually

goodmorningpapua.com – A total of 106 school principals all over Papua were inaugurated on Wednesday (25/5/2022). The inauguration led by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Ruikutun, was held virtually in Jayapura. On that occasion, Muhammad Ridwan said, education is one of the priority programs of the Papua Provincial Government for the realization of Papua to rise up independently and prosper.

He also said that one of the indicators of success contained in the main performance was the index of education in Cenderawasih Earth.

“This is one of the elements in the Human Development Index (IPM) to achieve the expected achievement target, which requires the hard work of the Papuan Education Office and heads of education units,” said Muhammad Ridwan.

For him, based on Presidential Regulation No. 19 in 2017, the workload of school principals is entirely to carry out managerial tasks, entrepreneurship development and supervision of teachers and education staff. “School principals are not burdened with learning, although in certain circumstances they can carry out these tasks to meet the needs of teachers, in schools that lack teachers,” he said.

He reminded that this must be used as a motivation for school principals to further improve the performance of leaders and manage schools with quality education in the local area so that they are better because every year there will be an evaluation.

“For school principals who have completed their duties, we thank you for all the achievements of dedication and loyalty while carrying out their duties,” he said. The principal, he said, must also be able to create ideas to improve the quality of education in his school with the motto of Tut Wuri Handayani “Principals must be able to provide encouragement and direction for teachers, students and educators to perform better,” he said.

The inauguration was carried out virtually by the Regional Secretary of the Papua Province Muhammad Ridwan Ruikutun, who was attended directly by the Assistant for General Affairs of the Papua Regional Secretariat Derek Hegemur and the Head of the Education, Libraries and Regional Archives Office Plt Protasius Lobya at Sasana Krida Jayapura.

He reminded that this must be used as a motivation for school principals to further improve the performance of leaders and manage schools with quality education in the local area so that they are better because every year there will be an evaluation.
