Boosting an Economic Growth, Local Government of Manokwari Promotes Risk-Based OSS – The Manokwari Regency Government socialized the Implementation of Business Licensing based on the Online Single Submission Risk Based Approach (OSS RBA) or OSS in Oriestom Bay, Manokwari, Monday 27 September 2021.

In addition to the socialization of the RBA OSS, the Manokwari Regional Government also socialized the Filling of Investment Activity Reports (LKPM) for domestic investment companies (PMDN) and foreign investment companies (PMA) in the Manokwari area.

Secretary of Manokwari Hendry Sembiring said that the socialization organized by the Investment Service and PTSP referred to the regulation of the Head of BKPM Number 7 of 2018 concerning Guidelines and Procedures for Controlling the Implementation and Transition of the Old OSS System to the New OSS RBA.

“Socialization is a strategic step in supporting the implementation of online independent licensing and also as a means of debriefing and adding insight in carrying out the implementation of OSS-RBA risk-based licensing online,” explained Hendry.

Apart from being a strategic step, according to Hendry, this socialization is to increase the growth of the economic climate in Manokwari even though it is still during the pandemic.

Since August 4, 2021, continued Hendry, applications for permits to attempt to integrate electronically have been carried out through the OSS–RBA system. This is in accordance with the letter of the Minister of Investment and the Head of BKPM Number 144,1342/a.1 of 2021.

The implementation of the OSS–RBA system has also been launched by President Joko Widodo, in August 2021 in Jakarta.

“So the OSS-RBA system is officially in effect, in accordance with President Jokowi’s direction, it is hoped that the Regional Government will be disciplined to follow the OSS-RBA system,” he said.

He hopes that this system alteration can make it easier for business actors to be able to take care of licensing at the Investment Office and PTSP in Manokwari Regency.

“Hopefully this socialization can have a positive impact on economic growth and make it easier for business players to take care of licensing,” said Hendry.
