Binda of West Papua Holds Vaccinations at Eight Points

goodmorningpapua.com – The Regional State Intelligence Agency (Binda) of West Papua has carried out vaccinations again for children aged 6-11 years. Binda of West Papua provided the first and second doses considering that Sorong and Manokwari are the entrances to the area.

“Obviously if Omicron has been found in Jayapura and Merauke, the public must be aware of the importance of the process,” said the Coordinator of Vaccination for Binda Papua Barat, Colonel Arh Hendra in a statement, Monday (14/2).

Hendra said vaccination activities were conducted at eight points, namely Manokwari Regency, Bintuni Bay, Wondama Bay, Kaimana, Sorong, South Sorong, Sorong City and Raja Ampat. He continued, vaccinations were also carried out simultaneously so that the achievement of vaccination can get high according to President Joko Widodo’s instructions.

One of the vaccine recipients, Frangky Mambasar, said he was grateful and appreciated the mass vaccination activity. On that occasion, he also invited people who have not been vaccinated to be vaccinated.

“I have now received the second vaccine, let’s all do vaccine. With the vaccine, I’ll take care of you, you’ll take care of me, all of us, we West Papuan people must take care of each other from the Covid-19 virus,” he said.
