Behind the Uniqueness of Cenderawasih in the Land of Papua, Visitors are Prohibited from Using Perfumes with the Strong Smell

goodmorningpapua.com – The bird of paradise is one of the endemic birds of Papua. In addition to seeing the beauty of the bird of paradise from pictures or Youtube, Cenderawasih can be observed up close directly.

Quoted from Indonesia.go.id, there are two places in Jayapura Regency which are currently the location for observing Cenderawasih birds which are close to the city center. The distance is not far, only about 1 hour from Sentani City, Jayapura. The both places are a Natural Tourism of Bird of Paradise  in Tablasupa Village, Depapre District, and Bird Watching Isyo Hill in Repang Muaif Village, Nimbokrang District.

Both places are managed by local indigenous people. To observe this bird, never use a perfume with the strong smell. Because these animals are sensitive to foreign smells and will make them stay away.

When walking closely to the location of playing the bird of paradise must be quiet. Once a noise is heard, the bird will disappear from sight. If we want to capture this bird, we need to bring a camera with a long telephoto and a tripod.
